1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GitHub Stats Studio ("the Service", hosted at githubstats.dev), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please discontinue use of the site.

2. Permitted Use & Ownership of Generated Cards

You are free to use GitHub Stats Studio for personal, open-source, educational, and commercial portfolio showcases.

YOUR GUARANTEED RIGHTS:
  • You own 100% of all PNG graphics, receipts, nutrition facts, and badges exported from this studio.
  • You may embed, share, or publish generated cards on Twitter/X, LinkedIn, your personal blog, and your GitHub Profile README without royalties.
  • Attribution links back to githubstats.dev are appreciated but never strictly mandatory.

3. Trademark Notice & Disclaimer of Affiliation

GitHub Stats Studio is an independent, community-driven developer tool.

"GitHub", the Octocat mascot, and related marks are registered trademarks of GitHub, Inc. and Microsoft Corporation. GitHub Stats Studio is not endorsed by, sponsored by, directly affiliated with, or officially connected to GitHub, Inc. or Microsoft. Any use of the GitHub name or mark is solely for descriptive and nominative fair use purposes.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

When using this service, you agree not to:

  • Automate abusive high-frequency queries that intentionally overload GitHub's public API limits (60 unauthenticated requests/hr per IP).
  • Use the service to forge deceptive, defamatory, or fraudulent credentials misrepresenting third-party developers.
  • Distribute malicious automated scrapers or flood attacks targeting the static hosting infrastructure.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

The service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind. Because stats calculations rely directly upon real-time data returned by the public GitHub REST API, we do not warrant that results will be uninterrupted or error-free during official GitHub API maintenance windows.

In no event shall GitHub Stats Studio or its maintainers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of generated cards.
